The original chrome rear fender was missing. I found a 30 year old front fender from a bike with 26″ wheels and trimmed it to fit. It’s not a perfect replica, but a decent looking substitute.

Speed and Sport, Matt Hildenberg has a decent selection I’ve early aluminum front and rear fenders. Both my TL and TY will eventually have these classic old school fenders mounted.
Matt’s in Colfax Calif.
Nice. I like Matt and have purchased lots of stuff from him over the years.
I finally located a rear fender for my 1975 Motobike, all that is left is the unobtainable chain guard. What kind did you modify?
Hi Bruce,
Congratulations!
I don’t remember where the chain guard came from. It was probably either eBay or Niagara Cycle (which is now closed). It was just a generic bike chain guard which I adapted to fit a MotoBike frame.
This is where I am right now. I restored an orange 75 Motobike and need to fabricate a rear fender just like you. I’m having trouble finding a suitable donor. Very frustrating.
I think the one that I used was a replacement chrome fender for a “beach bike”. It was cut to be the right length.
