I made mounting supports from scraps of 2×4. Once I had them shaped, 6mm mounting bolts were epoxied into holes drilled in the supports. The supported were then epoxied onto the bottom of the seat. I plan to add a layer or two of epoxy over the wood to protect and strengthen it.
Interesting solution. I constructed a mount out of some synthetic brick mold exterior trim to raise the rear end of my SR250 tank, but I might borrow this idea to mount the XR-style seat I have.
